Known as the trekker's paradise, the Singalila Ridge route takes you through quaint mountain settlements, past blooming rhododendrons (in spring), and along the border with Nepal. The crown jewel of this trek is the famous "Sleeping Buddha" formation — a panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga range that will leave you awestruck.

Spring (March–May) is the best time for blooming rhododendrons and pleasant temperatures. Autumn (October–November) offers the clearest mountain views and the most stable weather. Winter (December–February) can be very cold at Sandakphu, with occasional snow. The monsoon (June–September) brings leeches and limited visibility.
