Arrive in the lakeside city of Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. Meet your guide and fellow trekkers, check into your hotel, and enjoy a relaxed evening by Phewa Lake.
A short drive from Pokhara takes you to Nayapul, where the trail begins. Walk alongside the Modi Khola river, through small settlements and terraced fields, before reaching the hamlet of Tikhedhunga.
Today's climb is steady and rewarding — ascend through dense oak and rhododendron forests, cross stone staircases, and emerge into the charming hill town of Ghorepani, a classic stop on the Annapurna circuit.
An early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m) rewards you with a jaw-dropping sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After soaking in the views, trek through beautiful forests to the quiet ridge-top village of Tadapani.
Walk through dense forests filled with rhododendrons, birdsong, and occasional glimpses of Machhapuchhre. Descend into the Gurung village of Chhomrong, set high above the Modi Khola valley with spectacular mountain views.
Descend from Chhomrong to the river, then climb steadily through bamboo and rhododendron forests. The landscape becomes wilder and more remote as you approach the Himalaya Hotel, a rustic lodge nestled in the heart of the sanctuary trail.
The final push to the sanctuary. Follow the glacial valley up, past Machhapuchhre Base Camp, and into the vast amphitheatre of Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m). Towering peaks surround you on all sides — a moment of pure awe.
Wake before dawn to witness the sun paint the peaks gold and pink — an unforgettable sight. After breakfast, begin the descent through the sanctuary, retracing your steps to the forested hamlet of Bamboo.
Walk the final stretch down through villages and forest to Nayapul, where a private vehicle waits to drive you back to Pokhara. Celebrate your achievement with a hot shower, a good meal, and the company of your trekking family.
After a final breakfast in Pokhara, transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Leave with memories of towering peaks, warm smiles, and the profound stillness of the Annapurna Sanctuary.
